The term ‘Push Around Verticals’ (PAV) refers to non-mechanical and often small vertical platforms, which are manoeuvred into place by hand, rather than relying on an engine of any kind.
PAVs provide a low-level access platform and are designed to meet working at height regulations, making them considerably safer than ladders and steps and cheaper than scaffolding and powered access platforms. At Boss Training, we offer a variety of safety training services including our IPAF PAF training course.
Any employee who is likely to operate a Push Around Vertical (PAV) in a workplace environment should take the PAV course by IPAF Training. PAVs are commonly used in a whole host of working environments, including the construction, manufacturing and warehousing industries among many others.
Our IPAF PAV Training course will introduce delegates to category 1a machines, to ensure that all employees are fully aware of important features, such as pre-use inspections, hazards and risks associated with operating PAVs, safe operating procedures and handovers. Current legislation surrounding the use of PAVs will also be revisited during the course.
“Boss Training came on site and conducted PAV Training with 6 of our staff members. Everything from the booking to the training was professional, and we would have no problem using them again in the future.” – Rachel Gulpin – Microform Imaging
